The Irish Patriot’s Walk

“A living history tour in the footsteps of Ireland’s freedom fighters from Dublin Castle to Kilmainham Gaol”
Professional tour guide Fiona Dalton will take you on an historic trip down the memory lane of Ireland’s long and rebellious journey to gaining its independence to become the country we know and love today as the Republic of Ireland.
This original tour takes in two of the principal locations in Dublin which played an integral part in the story of Ireland’s fight for freedom, beginning at Dublin Castle which was the colonial seat of power in Ireland for hundreds of years and ending at Kilmainham Gaol where many of Ireland’s rebels were imprisoned and executed.
Over a two hour stroll with breaks, Fiona will relay the key people and dates associated with the long struggle of Ireland’s many patriots who sacrificed their lives for the cause of self determination and the tour concludes at the aptly named Patriot’s
Inn pub adjacent to the jail where there will be a further one hour visual presentation and by Fiona about the jail itself, then some music, food and drinks.
